IN BRIEF

[Note: This article dates from 2021. As intiatives are constantly evolving, we invite you to check for yourself whether they are still relevant].

- The government's "Tremplin pour la transition écologique des PME" (Springboard for the ecological transition of SMEs) subsidizes ecological transition projects up to 80%. Grants range from €5,000 to €200,000.

- Carrying out your carbon footprint is eligible for a subsidy of up to €5,000. (e.g.: If your company's carbon footprint costs €6,500, you only pay €1,500, as the government will subsidize €5,000).

Background: the recovery plan 🌍

To combat global warming and meet the objectives of the Paris agreements, which aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the French government's Recovery Plan allocates a budget of 30 billion euros to the energy transition. This translates into a grant, managed by ADEME, called "Tremplin pour la transition écologique des PME" (Springboard for the ecological transition of SMEs). This aid encourages companies to develop their low-carbon strategy by helping to finance actions in this direction. If your company is planning to implement a decarbonization strategy, this is a good opportunity to take the plunge.

How does this subsidy work? 🔍

The amount of assistance available ranges from €5,000 to €200,000, and can cover up to 80% of the total cost of the transition project(s), although only certain specific actions are eligible.

In fact, the Tremplin transition écologique subsidizes some 60 actions, divided into 2 main categories:

- Diagnostics and studies. These include carbon audits, action plans, energy audits and more.

- Investments. This category covers purchases or work to reduce the company's carbon footprint, such as the installation of LED lighting, loft insulation or the purchase of electric vehicles.

Carrying out your carbon footprint, which also includes an action plan, could entitle you to up to €5,000 in assistance. If you'd like to undertake other ecological transition actions, contact us for a quick estimate of the assistance you could qualify for.

Please note that this is not a retroactive subsidy; only uncommitted costs can be subsidized. If your estimates have been signed or a promise to sell has been made, these projects cannot be co-financed by ADEME.

But who is eligible? 🎓

The good news is that all VSEs and SMEs are eligible, regardless of their company name! Associations are also eligible, subject to certain conditions.

However, it is not possible to combine ADEME grants. You will therefore be ineligible for theTremplin transition carbone if you are already receiving assistance.

How do I get this help? 💸

ADEME has greatly simplified the administrative procedures involved in this subsidy. Only 3 steps are required:

1. Check your eligibility and the eligibility of your project(s).

2. Fill in the "ADEME Tremplin transition écologique" file on the ADEME website.

3. Submit your application, providing supporting documents (study or work estimates, etc.) and your bank details.

To do all this, go to the ADEME page dedicated to the aid:
